Ganesh Swaminathan - Profile

Introduction:-

With a 36-year career in the technology sector, Ganesh Swaminathan has spent more than 15 of those years excelling in the CTO role for large global corporations such as CSC and DXC. His passion for exploring, evaluating, and implementing new technologies has consistently added value to businesses. He is particularly focused on Social, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud (SMAC), and Security technologies. With his extensive global experience, he has proven to be an effective and dynamic leader in the industry.

1987: Indian Telephone Industries:-

Ganesh began his career with ITI - Switching R&D, working on state-of-the-art indigenous multi-tasking multi-processor voice and data switching operating systems and applications for defense, government, and large institutions like IISc and hotels.

1990: Consulting at Tata Unisys Ltd:-

Ganesh worked with global customers such as Swiss Air and SWIFT. He also served as a product architect and later a product manager for TUL's CD-GEN product suite.

1992-93, 95-98: Product Architecture at SWIFT PC Connect:-

Ganesh served as SWIFT PC Connect's product architect, leading a team of developers and engineers to deliver high-quality software products.

1999-2007: Leadership in Covansys:-

Later Ganesh served as GM and VP of Technology of Covansys. He led the development of innovative eCommerce solutions and B2B/B2C frameworks and systems.
He also served as the head of global delivery for Advanced Technology projects and was instrumental in building offshore delivery centers in India.

2007-2017: Regional CTO and Innovation Officer at CSC:-

Following the acquisition of Covansys, Ganesh moved to CSC and served as the Regional CTO and Innovation Officer. He drove innovation and technology adoption across regions. He also led niche partnerships, service offerings development, and acquisitions in the areas of SMAC (Social, Mobile, Analytics, and Cloud) and Security.

2017-2020: Director at DXC Labs India:-

After the merger of CSC and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services (HPES), Ganesh became the Director of DXC Labs India. He worked closely with niche partners to develop next-gen solutions and enable delivery organizations.

Current Role:-

Today, Ganesh serves as COO of Tesser Insights, a data analytics company, where he continues to leverage his skills and experience to drive business success and create value for his customers
